How Nudl Skincare Is Redefining Tween Beauty

n a market saturated with adult-focused beauty products and TikTok trends, one Canadian brand is stepping up to fill a crucial gap. Nudl Skincare was born out of a mother’s love and concern—a response to watching her daughters explore skincare without safe, age-appropriate options. Nudl isn’t just another skincare line; it’s a mission-driven brand designed specifically for tweens and teens, blending clean ingredients with empowering routines that nurture both skin and self-esteem. We sat down with the Chantal Snow, the founder of Nudl to learn more about what inspired the brand, how they’re redefining skincare for young people, and what’s next as they prepare to launch their thoughtfully  crafted line across Canada. From mental health to ingredient integrity, Nudl is proving that skincare can be smart, safe, and seriously fun.
1. What inspired you to start Nudl Skincare?

I was inspired to create Nudl as a mom. Watching my daughters become curious about skincare through TikTok and influencers, but feeling uneasy about what was actually safe for their young skin. Most products on the market were made for adults or felt gimmicky and harsh. I couldn’t find anything Canadian, clean, effective, and age-appropriate- so I made it myself. Nudl is skincare created with intention, safety, and fun in mind, something my daughters and other kids can trust and be proud to use.

2. Why did you decide to focus on skincare for tweens and teens?

There’s a huge gap in the market. Tweens and teens are learning how to care for their skin, but they’re also navigating big changes physically and emotionally. They deserve products made specifically for them — not just smaller versions of adult products. We chose this focus to empower young people to start healthy routines early with skincare that’s safe, made with natural ingredients, and actually cool enough for them to want to use.

3. How do you make sure your products are safe and gentle for young skin?

We’ve been intentional about every formula. All Nudl products are:
    •    Dermatologist-tested
    •    Paraben-free, sulfate-free, and fragrance-free
    •    Made with gentle plant-based ingredients like aloe, chamomile, cucumber, and green tea
    •    Preserved with clean, safe systems like Optiphen (phenoxyethanol + caprylyl glycol)

Our Balance Nudl toner uses fermented minerals like zinc and magnesium to soothe and support the skin barrier, while Hydra Nudl is packed with antioxidant-rich chaga mushroom extract. We work closely with Canadian formulators who understand the needs of young, sensitive skin.

4. It’s hard to be a kid in 2025 — how can a good skincare routine help their mental health?

Routines build confidence- and skincare is a powerful, tangible form of self-care. It gives tweens and teens a few moments to focus on themselves in a way that feels mature but still safe. When they use products made for them, it reinforces that they’re seen, supported, and capable of making good choices for their body. That kind of empowerment, especially at a young age, is huge for mental health.

5. What are your future plans for the brand after launch?

We’re launching Nudl DTC through our site (nudlskin.ca) in June. After that, we’re preparing for expansion into clean, brand aligned beauty retailers and distributors here in Canada. We also plan to grow our product line with SPF, spot treatments, and fun body care- always keeping tweens and teens at the center. We’re also excited to bring Nudl into schools, workshops, and pop-ups to spread skincare education and confidence-building tools offline.
