We have taken our most requested courses from the program and made them available individually. For the first time you have access to the following courses:

Introduction to the Cosmetic Industry (2 Hours): This is a general overview of the cosmetic industry. We will talk about the industry across the supply chain from raw materials, contract manufacturing to services.

History of Cosmetics (2 Hours): The history of cosmetics spans at least 285,000 years ago and is a part of almost every society on earth. From Ochre use by the early humans to the ancient Rome baths that are still preserved today. We look at the evolutionary, biological and sociological aspects of the history of beauty.

Raw Materials Innovations (2 Hours): Raw materials are the building blocks of all cosmetic products. The principal raw materials used for manufacturing cosmetics are oily materials such as oils, fats, wax esters, and ester oils, and surface-active agents are used as emulsifiers, solubilizing agents. The water-soluble ingredients are often humectants or actives.

Packaging Innovations (2 Hours): Cosmetic packaging is used for cosmetic containers and secondary packaging of fragrances and cosmetic products. Packaging can be bottles, jars, boxes and palettes. We will go over the different packaging types for skin care and colour cosmetics and their advantages. Sustainable packaging will be discussed in detail.

Cosmetic Regulatory (2 Hours): This will be an essential step to succeeding in the cosmetic market. No cosmetics can be successful without regulation. In Canada, the Cosmetic Regulations and the Food and Drugs Act require that cosmetics sold in Canada are manufactured, prepared, preserved, packed and stored under sanitary conditions. We will go over the steps of product notification for Health Canada and the USA

Cosmetic Business 101 (2 Hours): We will focus on the operation of small cosmetic business operations, project management and strategic mapping. All these concepts help in improving business growth. You will also learn about the Cosmetic supply chain, new tech apps and communication methods.
