Canadian Cosmetic Cluster and Korean Cluster IBITA Forge Strategic Partnership during Global Cosmetic Cluster Initiative
The Canadian Cosmetic Cluster and the Korean Cluster IBITA proudly announce a strategic partnership aimed at fostering collaboration and innovation within the cosmetics industry. This partnership, a result of the Global Cosmetic Cluster Initiative, marks a significant milestone in advancing cross-border cooperation and promoting excellence in cosmetics manufacturing and innovation. The alliance between the Canadian Cosmetic Cluster and the Korean Cluster IBITA comes at a time of growing international interest in the cosmetics markets of both countries. By leveraging each other's strengths and resources, the two clusters aim to drive mutual growth, share best practices, and explore new opportunities for collaboration in areas such as research and development, market access, and technology transfer. As part of this partnership, the Canadian Cosmetic Cluster is delighted to welcome representatives from several leading Korean cosmetics companies as part of a trade mission to Toronto. Among the companies participating are Kiokii, Mixsoon, Vitanature, Jion Meditech, and ABio Materials. These companies represent the forefront of innovation in the Korean cosmetics industry and are eager to explore potential partnerships and collaboration opportunities with Canadian counterparts. Highlighting the partnership between the Canadian and Korean clusters is the Innovation Night on June 3rd, where industry leaders, innovators, and stakeholders from both countries will gather to showcase the latest advancements in cosmetics manufacturing and technology. The Innovation Night promises to be an evening of networking, knowledge sharing, and collaboration, providing a platform for industry players to connect and explore new business opportunities. Following the Innovation Night, Korean Beauty Day will take place in Toronto on June 4th, offering a unique opportunity to discover the dynamism and creativity of the Korean beauty industry. Attendees will have the chance to explore the latest trends, innovations, and techniques shaping the K-beauty landscape, while also networking with industry experts and thought leaders. The Canadian Cosmetic Cluster and the Korean Cluster IBITA are excited about the potential of this partnership to drive innovation and growth within the cosmetics industry. By joining forces, the two clusters aim to strengthen the competitiveness of their respective industries while fostering greater collaboration and exchange between Canada and Korea.

Seneca Centre for Innovation in Life Sciences Research Symposium -The Biotechnology in Beauty26/5/2024 This half-day event will kick off with a captivating keynote address by Eva Musso, Head of Sustainability and Government Relations of BASF Canada, followed by a panel session with representatives from various companies on how they have identified innovative solutions to their research problems. The event will conclude with a networking lunch with projects exhibit and a tour of the SCILS lab. Keynote Speaker: Eva Musso Eva Musso is BASF Canada's Head of Sustainability band Government Relations and BASF's Canadian Leadership Team member. In her role, Eva is responsible for designing and executing BASF's sustainability and innovation strategy to help achieve BASF's ambitious targets and to strengthen the company's relationship with Indigenous communities in Canada and drive diversity, equity, and inclusion within the industry. As a keynote speaker for Seneca's Centre for Innovation in Life Sciences (SCILS) Research Symposium, Eva will discuss BASF's Indigenous Beauty Bootcamp and the role local partners, like Seneca Polytechnic, played in supporting the program. She will also discuss BASF's vision for driving sustainability in the industry and her thoughts about the role that innovation plays in the personal care sector.
