1. Tell us about your company? What inspired you to get into the cosmetic ingredients industry?
Nanovetores was born in 2008, result from the union of entrepreneur husband and a pHd wife that decided to bring a new solution to the cosmetic industry. The inspiration came from the lack of efficiency identified in general cosmetic formulations, mostly caused by the lack of performance of the active ingredients. Nanovetores was born to grant that the cosmetic products that people use will have noticeable results, with safety and environmental responsibility.
2. What makes your ingredients unique?
Different from other encapsulation technologies, ours has solid structure, granting that the ingredient inside will be totally protected until released inside the skin through the enzymatic release trigger. Skin natural enzymes are responsible for opening the capsule and releasing the ingredient through time, granting a sustained and controlled release.
3. Is your ingredient sustainable? Tell us more about encapsulation technology.
Our encapsulation process is based on Green Chemistry, there's no usage of organic solvents. The capsules are also biodegradable, being safe for the environment.
4. What types of formulas benefit from adding the ingredient from the ChemBox? Which ingredient can it replace?
Formulations that are looking for an efficient, safe, sustainable, multifunctional and easy to work with active ingredient. NV Redensifier is designed to indeed redensify people's skin and hair. If used in skin care products, it will grant skin filling and firmness. If used in hair care products, it will grant strength and vitality to the hair, making it more "full-embodied".
5. What is one thing that you could change in the cosmetics industry?
There's a widely spread common sense in the industry that more active ingredient means more efficiency at the formulations. Our encapsulated shows that with technology, less is more, as we achieve better results even having 4 or 5x less active ingredient inside the final formulations.
