Seneca’s Cosmetic Science (Work-Integrated Learning) program is a one-year program consisting of two semesters of courses with a work term in-between. Students are available for a work term either in the fall (September-December) or winter (January-April). Upon completion of the first term, students will have gained an understanding of key topics including the formulation process for emulsions and color cosmetics, global regulations and challenges, biological targets and safety evaluation. All students have a degree or diploma or equivalent in biochemistry, pharmacy, chemistry, biotechnology, chemical engineering, pharmaceutical manufacturing or a related field of study. The UK Cosmetic Cluster will be co-hosting the Product Innovation Challenge with the Society of Cosmetic Scientists at the IFSCC congress in London on September 22. This is an opportunity to enter a challenge for cosmetic product innovation. Chosen finalists will be able to participate in a showcase session that day and one overall winner will be selected on the day. The Thailand Center of Excellence for Life Sciences is having an event this fall, called Bio Asia Pacific which is life sciences trade exhibition and conference held on 14-16 September, 2022 (https://bioasiapacific.com). It is almost the same period with COSMOPROFCBE ASEAN (15-17 Sept 22). TCELS is looking for speakers to fly out to Thailand to be part of the event.
